Bridge the gap in your conversations to create connections and successful outcomes

Course Profile: With the best intentions, we can say or do things that shut down conversations before they properly get the chance to get started. This is especially the case when it comes to; differences of opinion and approach, jumping to conclusions, giving or receiving feedback, sensitive, controversial or uncomfortable topics which are all part of daily interactions.

No one enjoys the perceived thoughts of what potential conflict or unnecessary tensions may emerge in conversations. This is particularly the case when emotional charge exists around pressurised or vulnerable situations. All too easily, people can become triggered and operate from a reactive space or default into shutdown or appease mode.

The irony of not being equipped to handle difficult conversations or trying to avoid them runs the risk of increasing tensions in employee relationships, creating misunderstandings and confusion which often results in escalating the problem to bigger proportions.
