EXPRESSION OF INTEREST

Please note by registering your interest you are NOT applying for a course.  This is to gauge the interest of new entrants in attending this course. 

Proposed Course: Working as an Accounts Trainee in the Film & TV Sector. 

Duration:  5 days over a two week period plus a 3 week structured work placement.

Cost: Free

Venue: Hybrid delivery; online and in-person. In-person venue will be in the Dublin/Wicklow area.

Course Profile:

This five-day course will run in partnership with Screen Skillnet in late November/early December over a two-week period.  The structure of the course will depend on the expression of interest preferences and tutor availability.

This course will take you through the main elements of accounting within the film industry and will include the budget, Section 481, Payroll, Accounts Payable, Petty cash & more. The course will be interactive and will include typical examples of timesheets, invoices etc. Participants will be encouraged to ask as many questions as needed and to speak up if they do not understand a certain element. The course is designed to entice new entrants to the industry and give them an overview of what the job entails.

Participant Profile:

This course is aimed at enthusiastic and hardworking new entrants to the film industry with a keen interest in accounts & bookkeeping in the Film & TV Sector.  A basic knowledge of accounts is preferable but not essential.
